I’m Sandra - the hands and heart behind Vertanae. I’ve always been drawn to scents that somehow feel like memories you forgot you had.

I started making candles during a season when I felt disconnected from myself, from others, from any real sense of home. Lighting a candle became this quiet ritual that brought me back to the moment. It reminded me that I’m here, and that’s enough. That tiny shift changed everything. It lifted my mood, softened my space, and made the ordinary feel a little more special.

That’s the feeling I wanted to share.

I’ve lived in a lot of places, trying to figure out where I belong. And while none of them ever really stuck, something about Arizona did. The golden light, the stillness, the way it just feels right. It’s the first place that felt like home: not because of a zip code, but because of how it made me feel.

That’s what Vertanae is really about. Not just candles. But creating moments that feel grounding and alive. It’s about the energy of a room shifting when you strike a match. It’s about the way scent can pull you into a memory, or help you write a new one, especially with the people you choose to share it with.

Our homes are more than where we sleep - they’re where we laugh, cry, connect, and grow. They’re our sacred spaces. And I believe that when we fill them with intention, everything else softens.
