Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Trim your wick before every burn – Keep your wooden wick around 1/8” long. This helps it light easily, burn evenly, and keeps the flame at the perfect size.
Let it melt all the way across – On your first burn, let the wax melt to the edges of the jar (usually takes 2–3 hours). This prevents tunneling and gives you the longest life out of your candle.
Don’t burn too long – For safety, try not to burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish, let it cool, and then relight when you’re ready.
Keep it safe – Always burn your candle on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, kids, and pets.
Reuse the vessel – Once your candle is finished, clean out the glass jar and give it a second life! (They make gorgeous holders for pens, brushes, or even small plants 🌿).
What ingredients are in your candles?
Every candle is made with 100% US-grown soy wax, a certified wooden wick that gently crackles as it burns, and a handblown, fully recyclable glass vessel. I only use clean, phthalate-free fragrance oils, which are blends of high-quality fragrance oils and pure essential oils sourced from around the globe. Each fragrance is tested for top performance and is skin-safe, vegan, cruelty-free, and free of toxins.
No parabens, no phthalates, no carcinogens. just safe, beautiful candles you can feel good about burning in your home.
What is a phthalate?
Phthalates (pronouncedthal-ates) are a group of chemicals often used in fragrance and plastic products to make scents last longer or feel stronger. The problem is, they’ve been linked to potential health risks over time. That’s why I keep them out of my candles completely. My fragrances are clean, safe, and designed to give you all the luxury without any of the harmful stuff.
Why Soy Wax?
Soy wax is one of the cleanest and most sustainable waxes out there. It burns slowly, evenly, and doesn’t release the toxins that some paraffin candles can. Another bonus? It holds fragrance beautifully, so your candle smells amazing from start to finish.
And since I’m based in Arizona (hello, desert heat ☀️), I needed a wax that could handle the shipping challenges of hot weather. Soy wax is sturdy enough to get to you in one piece and still deliver that smooth, creamy burn.
Why do you use only wooden wicks?
There’s just something magical about wooden wicks. They create a soft crackling sound as they burn, like a cozy little fireplace in the background. It makes the whole candle experience feel extra special and calming.
I also love that wooden wicks give a more modern, unique vibe compared to traditional cotton wicks. That being said, I may release a cotton wick collection in the future, so if you’re a cotton wick fan, stay tuned.
How long do your candles burn?
Our 9 oz candles with wooden wicks burn for about 50-55 hours if cared for properly.
To get the most out of your candle, trim the wick to about 1/8” before each burn and let the wax melt all the way across the surface the first time you light it. That way, you’ll avoid tunneling and maximize every last bit of your candle.
